I'm not asking to buy it, but curious... If you were to sell your 770X
today, what would the selling price be? I love the machine, but what is
it worth compared to a 600X, A21p, T-23? Refurbished?
I use the 770X as a rental machine for people who come to southern
Arizona to play golf and want to check their email... They are tough,
and perform well, but are just old and ugly enough to reduce the chance
of theft.
I think the T-30, T-23, A21P, and even the 600X are better values for
the money... That is unless the 770X is now very inexpensive.
I would still buy a bunch of them if I could find them, but would no
longer use one as my primary machine. Except for the occasional power
inverter failure, and the frequent floppy drive failure, it is as rugged
as IBM ever made.
