Bill Morrow has a brief blurb about the R50p on his site:

Not a ton of information on that page, but I'm sure he'd be willing to
answer any additional questions that you have. He does confirm that the
R50p only has one Ultrabay. His address is bill (at) thinkpads (dot) com.
