Andy,

I'm somewhat surprised as the IBM a/b/g cardbus wireless
card (actiontec makes it for IBM) comes with software
that will scan for signals - it is a option. If the
IBM internal card is also actiontec, seems like that
feature would be included somewhere.

Does the IBM Access Connections software do scanning?

I have used biongo with a Linksys card in my A21p. It
will scan and allows setup of multiple WiFi settings, etc.
I don't know if it works with the internal IBM card.

There are probably others that I don't know about as I'm
a bit new to wireless.
