In several respects, the X40 is a step backwards from the X31: its HDD is
limited in capacity (40 MB) and speed (4200 rpm) and there's only one
memory slot (max. RAM 1280 MB at prohibitive cost, or 768 at affordable
cost, vs. 2048 or 1024 on the X31). There's no mention of build-in
Bluetooth support either, a hindrance for European mobile users (GPRS,
EDGE).
Never mind, like Richard I hope the introduction of the X40 will bring the
price of the X31 further down and I'll grab of one these ;-). Until then,
I'll stay put with my X22.
