You wouldn't use the laptops speakers. You would connect a cable to
your TV or VCR.
However, there is a problem of volume. I couldn't get more than a
really pathetic level on volume from one machine. I don't know if that
is representative. Any ideas?
The TV volume then does not project across the room with even near
half of the max volume it would normally produce. As on VHS.

You can get a PC remote.
