That's only a 24% improvement in CPU speed. The actual improvement in system
speed would be even less. Maybe 15% if that much? You'll never notice a tiny
difference like that.
Because the system won't seem any faster, the only way to make a project
like this worthwhile is to run a lot of benchmark tests. Then your friend
can print out the results and post them on the wall to convince himself that
the time and money spent was worthwhile even though he can't perceive any
performance improvement.
