Well, I bet that P3m-1.4Ghz would be expensive and would run up hot. So
hot, in fact, that your current thermal protection might not be able to
handle it.
It'll most likely throttle down your chip using speedstep or lock it up to
deal with the heat dissipation problem that it'll be COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.
Seriously, would that 15% or less improvement in speed be worth frequent
and unpredictable slowdowns and lockups? What are you going to do? Bolt
on a bigger heat sink and a larger fan? That's just inviting trouble.
Like everyone else in here sez...Faster HDD. More memory. That's more
likely the way to go.
