I'm currently running the 7200 rpm / 60 GB Hitachi in my X22. Before that,
I had a 5400 rpm / 60 GB Toshiba and before that a 5400 rpm / 40 GB drive
(Travelstar 40 GNX). Honestly, I can't spot any difference: the X22
doesn't feel any hotter than before when it's on my lap and the fan
doesn't run any more often. And the X22 is a tiny machine, without a lot
of space around the drive to dissipate the heat. OTOH, I don't typically
run applications that are extremely disk-intensive.
Cheers, Dominique
