I too have that very same symthoms when I remove the
battery while having my unit plugged into an AC
adapter I noticed that processor speed dropped and
when I inserted my battery back after a couple of
minutes it'll jump back up to maxmimum speed.
I have read it some where on this list that 'newer'
thinkpad need to have battery inserted while connected
to AC adapter in order to get 'all' cpu speed.
Is this still a correct assumption?
