[Thinkpad] 7200 vs 5400 drive -- which is quieter?

Are the 7200 rpm drives louder than the 5400 rpm ones?

I need to get a new drive for my TP 600E, but, since it sits next to the
bed,
it needs to be quiet. (The fan makes more noise than my current 4800
rpm drive,
so the only time I hear the disk is when it clicks while seeking.)

Also, are there durability issues with the faster drives?
I use the machine in moving vehicles, so I would prefer to avoid things
like head crashes.
