The general rule of thumb has pretty much always been that a PII 366MHz was the
lower limit for software-only playback, but even a unit so equipped might be
subject to frame drops and skipping depending on the movie.

The acid test of late is an action scene from the "Matrix" DVD. If you can play
the fight scene between Neo and Morpheus without skipping or frame drops, you're
golden.

Same general rule applies, YMMV.

Most definitely. I'm pretty sure Bruce still has a stash of these for a
reasonable price and he's the Margi card guru of the group.
