hi,

i have a 770X with windows xp (sp1). i have a problem with the ultrabay
cdrom and fdd.

1. the fdd is always recognised as drive "B", no matter whether it is
connected external or in the ultrabay.
Drive "A" is listed there aswell, but not accessible

2. the cdrom works fine if it was in the ultrabay during booting.
if i stop the device (using the eject hardware button), then change to
diskette and back, there is a yellow exclamation mark and the device
manager says something like: "driver can not be loaded because there is
a previous driver instance loaded" (i dont know the correct error
message in english- i use a german version of xp)
the same thing happens if i put the machine into standby or hibernation
before changing drives...

can someone help?
