[Thinkpad] Imperfect spacebar; will IBM fix under warranty?

My T23 has an irritating spacebar, wherein if I hit it too far from center (and I don't mean all the way at the edge - like if I hit it under the right half of the N key), it doesn't register. Does anyone who has experience with EZ Serve think IBM will or won't replace this keyboard for free under the 3-year warranty?
