Re: [Thinkpad] Disappearing CD-RW

Thank you for the bits of info. The problem seems to have resolved itself
(if that is possible with any computer). I installed Win2K and the problem
persisted throughout the day. I went to bed vowing to figure it out the next
morning and it has now been 2 days with no sign of the CD disappearing. Go
figure? One of the reasons that we went through this exercise (other than
the inquisitive daughters thing) was because his printer would not print
sometimes. He would get a message that it was out of paper. The printer was
updated with a new drum as per the mfgr but that didn't resolve the issue.
It is a brother mfc 4350. We've done the delete and reload driver thing and
updated it until we are blue but the hit and miss thing still persists. I
now have it set up through a USB to Parallel connection but zippo.
