[Thinkpad] T41 screen troubles

I ordered a T41 #2379DJU about 1.5 months ago.. it came with 1 dead pixel..
and now it has a small but very visable scratch right in the middle of the
screen.. (it looks like the keyboard hits the screen).. Is this a case for
a return? will they repair the unit? I bought the laptop with an Amex.. so
I do have a 90 day warranty of sorts.. what do you guys think?
