[Thinkpad] [TP600e] A few questions..

Hi,
    I have had a few of the smaller thinkpads (560,560e,560z) and my latest
one
is a 600e. Ive only just got it and have already run into the dodgy battery
problem (solved temporarily by hacking up a few dead batteries), but there
are a few questions that Id like to find answers for.

    Firstly, CPU upgrades. For reference Ive happily upgraded my 560z
to 366mhz and have no problem changing cpus or spotting the difference
between mmc1, mmc2 etc. Ive read about a year back in the mailing list
archives and the consensus is that putting a 100mhz bus cpu in a 600e may
work, but not without some problems (keys on boot, memory speeds etc).
There
have been a few mentions of celerons but I havent seen a definative post as
to wether they work without any problems. I would like to put a celeron 466
into my 600e - have many people done this and have they had any problems?

    Secondly I would like to replace the cd drive with a dvd or possibly
cdrw drive. The plastics and connector around the back look easy enough
to swap over, but is the front bezel the common 3 screw attachment? (I cant
see any screws on my drive). Also are there any gotcha's with hot-swapping
and booting from cd if you change the drive?

    Theres some very knowledgeable on this list so hopefully someone can
help me out..
