It's probably not another driver you need, XP is supposed to already have the one you need. But display settings are not preserved
in an upgrade; maybe there's one you've missed. Here are a few suggestions. The one I think is least obvious is the checkbox to
auto-detect the monitor; I would have expected a global PnP setting to apply.

I don't use XP, so your procedures will be different. In fact, don't you have a wizard that handles both monitor and adapter? But
the settings themselves should be the same.

First I'd check Device Manager - both Display Adapter and Monitors to see what IS recognized as installed. If one or both are
missing, I'd go back to Display Properties-Settings-Advanced- If monitor was missing from Device Manager, choose Monitor. Make sure
"Automatically detect Plug & Play monitors" and "Reset display on suspend/resume" are both checked. Then Change and select your
monitor from the list (might have to ask for list of all to be displayed).

If the Auto-detect had been unchecked, re-boot to detect the monitor. Is it still missing in Settings?

If the adapter was missing in Device Manager, do the comparable exercise in Display Properties-Settings-Advanced-Adapter.

If you also have an Advanced-Displays tab, make sure the TP screen is selected as primary.
