:-) Hives are bad, eugh, least I now remember to buy non-bio washing
powder (had a very nasty outbreak a month ago, gah!)
As for HP/Compaq, I would go for something else personally as well, my
experience with them since their merger has been, eugh. I'm sure I
laboured on about my work's laptop enough ;-) Anyway, my main
reservation is build quality, which does seem be very lacking, all out
to look contemporary, but my experience is one of very feeble construction.
How about building one? Easy enough with minimal tools.
I built an XP2600, 512MB, 60gb HD, ATI Radeon 7500 64MB, TV Out, CDRW,
Floppy, decent case and all the rest bar a monitor for £280 I think it
was last September.
Managed to build it with just some pliers, a knife (that'd be the
screwdriver) and the all essential teaspoon, which got the heatsink in
place, hehe. You can tell I really go to town :-)
