Absent knowing which model Thinkpad we're discussing here, there's very little
info we can share.

If it's a "new" model (e.g. T40/41 or R50) then he needs to contact
1-800-IBM-SERV, but this repair will cost him a LOT of money as it's not covered
by the warranty.

For almost any other model, find out what model we're talking about here and
we'll tell you the best place to get the bezel. Your friend can install it
himself. Doing it himself might cost as little as $40-50. Sending it in for
repair might cost $300!
