I'm of two minds about that. I had three Sony's and never had a crash or
problem. I had a PowerBook that had endless problems. I've not got the T41
that has had a fair share of problems.
If all the notebooks had problems, then it comes down to service, which IBM
cannot be beat on. They've been incredibly fast with parts and to that end
I'm impressed. I cannot attest to Sony or Dell. One because I never had a
problem to need the service, and the other because I've never owned.
Overall I think IBM has the best design both for parts, upgradibility and
modularity. Stability would be nice, too, and to that end I lean toward
Sony.
