I have no problem playing dvd's and mpg's on the margi card, which is what
the card is designed for. What I'd like to do is play avi's and other
formats or, more generally, have a video out that would let me use at TV as
a monitor.
Unfortunately, the only way to get the margi card to work is to use its
dedicated software dvd player, so far as I can tell. The software dvd
player will only play dvd's and mpg's. In order to play avi's, etc., I'll
either have to figure out a way to have other software make use of the
card, or find another way to create a video out for my thinkpad.
The only other alternative for playing avi's (and other formats) is to find
a way to convert them to mpg, then use the card.
