There was an issue with Win2K and the CD-RW, and IBM offered to send an
extra 512MB and battery if I overlooked it. Those seem to price out at about
$350 on the IBM site, and I think that they would swap those for most any
accessory(s) valued at about $350 (and perhaps a little more -- ie *maybe*
something like the flat-panel monitor ($450) or multi-burner ($400) -- I
could ask)

I don't really want to take too much of a hit on the cost as I can contest
the charge. However, I'd prefer to be done with it rather than go through
