I was also surprised, given that CDW generally has a 30 day policy, and so
does IBM direct.

However, IBM from CDW, as it turns out, has a no-return policy (that is, if
you opened the box).

Ah, plenty of calls with IBM! And likewise, I was surprised that the
download would't work. As it turns out, the downloads only work in the
pre-install. And that's why IBM offered some extra stuff (and that's why I
think that they'll offer *any* stuff at roughly the same value).
