[Thinkpad] Re: So Scott, why *do* you need Windows 2000?

Hey Michael,

Let me start by repeating that I do appreciate the many offers of help here.

And next, let me add that I know how the tone in an email can easily be
misread. With that said, I hope you'll not be offended when I simply say
that I want to run Win2k, that IBM says Win2k is supported, that IBM
provides a Win2k install doc, and that IBM provides Win2k downloads.

Again, I honestly mean no offense (neither in this email, nor on this
mail-list), but the IBM support folks also keep asking me "So Scott, why
*do* you need Windows 2000?" and I don't feel like I should have to explain
that -- it makes me feel like I'm being put on the defensive for something
that I shouldn't be put on the defensive for.

I hope that helps explain, and I'm sorry for any aggravation I may have
caused.
