Thanks Matt, stopped WZC but didn't reboot and it's been connected
for about 15 minutes (not a long time usually but it seems like
forever right now).

But do I want to give up WZC? I searched for info on it and most
of the hits were people asking how to activate it. (Something to
do with configuring your network card automatically when you go
from network to network? If that's what it does, it would be a
nice feature -- I remember using NetSwitcher in Win98 to switch
from one static IP address to another).
