I have a feeling this question will result in a flurry of replys along the lines of "check twpbook" but I was hoping you all could offer some expert guideance.
I work at a university that has a hardware contract with Dell, consiquently any hardware purchases using grant money _should_ be dell products. However, I really love thinkpads and would like to purchase a T41p with some grant money heading my way. Can you all offer any tips for how to spec my requirements for a laptop so that only the T41 (and not some obscure model of Latitude) will fit my needs (thus allowing me to bypass the Dell purchase requirement). (My actual hardware needs are not all that sophisticated, SXGA, 1gb of memory and enough horsepower to run some off the shelf GIS packages). Is there anything other than a trackpoint that a thinkpad has that a dell does not?
Thanks for any advice
Bill
