Start with the Control Panel | Printers. Try printing "self test" pages
from the control panel. Also, temporarily turn OFF the print queue if
allowed and see if the printer begins working properly.
BTW... Have you checked for updated printer drivers? Was the printer
working properly before and recently quit or has it never worked properly?
What printer? What OS? What driver version? Does the printer work properly
if connected to another computer? Does the computer print properly if
connected to a different printer?
More details are needed before useful suggestions can be made.
