I was away from home and my wifi connection recently. when I
turned on my laptop obviously it couldn't connect so I tried selecting
one of the hard wired profiles I had but it failed because it couldn't
get an IP and switched back to the wireless profile. The only option I
had was to create a dialup profile and select it which finally turned
off the wireless radio. At that point access connection proceeded to
light up the HD every 5-10 second for at least a second. Very annoying
when trying to sleep and it couldn't be good for the drive either. Any
ideas how to stop that from happening short of killing the program,
which I finally did. TIA
