[Thinkpad] Ailing 600 RECOVERS!

Bruce, Chris, and yes, even Ron--

       CMOS it was! Fixed the whole dang thing for $8.50 at Battery
World on Ventura in Woodland Hills (take note,
LA list people). They had to retrofit the TP leads and clip onto a new
battery, since no one makes the 600 CMOS
battery any more.

       This was, I think we can all agree, preferable to the strategy of
the joker I talked to on the phone in Burbank: "You need
a new systemboard. I can give you a used systemboard for between $499
and $599."

       I love you guys...
