I never got around to checking the instructions but I did check back to
see how the auction went.
The chip sold for $110 which seemed reasonable so I looked at the
seller's other auctions and found this:

It specifically mentions compatibility with the 560x running Win2K and
the buy it now price was $77 so I got it.
