My guess is the memory is OK (POST and memtest both OK) but somehow
doesn't play nice with the 560x either supplying more RAM than the BIOS
can conceive of or somehow being a format that the BIOS can't make sense of.
God help me I may have to take Deanna's suggestion and actually look at
the memory dump files. Thankfully she posted the URL for the Microsoft
support page.
I suppose this is karmic retribution for harboring such bad thoughts
about Plug-N-Play....
Suddenly the prospect of trying another 3 or 4 E-bay modules to find one
that works doesn't seem so bad.
