thanks for your imput to this,
Its not that important who bought out whom, I thought it was HP that
bought Compaq. whats at issue is the appearance on the retail market of
a quality? product at almost a production price.
With a model like this they have really only 2 options, scrap it or try
and sell it to get their investment back.
My supplier here in the UK had a similar offer a couple of months ago,
but, I turned it down as I only deal in Thinkpads.
