Does anyone other than you use your Thinkpad? If so, then you should
consider a supervisor password. If not, you do not need to have one.
Finally, you can clear any password on a Thinkpad as long as you know
the current one. I forget how to clear one off, but the list definately
will come to my aid. Clearing a password if you don't know it can
result in a very thin wallet (it costs about $1k to get them cleared off.)
