Yeah, it will, especially when compared with 2k. 2k is more of a stripped
down version of xp, and so usually have lower memory requirements. In
general, 2k will get by with 256mb of ram and tolerate 128, swapping
insanely at 64. XP usually wanted at least 384 and would swap like crazy
at 128 or so. In older machines I would say that 2k with max memory is a
safer bet, but seriously? I wouldn't even contemplate running 2k on
anything less than a Pentium II. 2k really likes that extra MTRR
support for faster memory transactions.
