Yes, that was one of my thoughts as well. But as I wrote in my first post, I
can't get the stubborn thing to un-"dock" (although it has never really been
docked).
I actually got a dock delivered with the Thinkpad, but it has no speakers.
it's a rather slim dock (just a base plate with some connectors at the back,
seems complete except for a PC card cage I have seen at the back of similar
models). Nor does it seem to have a headphone jack. I've never used the
dock.
I also can't find a way to change the docking status in the configuration
utility.
And, AFAIK, the 570 and Ultrabase are more integrated than other models and
their docks, according to the 570 being an "Ultraportable".
