Performed the same processor swap on my 600X -500Mhz laptop. (2645-4EU)

Bios reports 800Mhz processor, Speedstep utility reports 650Mhz, System
properties shows 650Mhz.

XP runs fine. Didn't even hiccup over the new processor.

Now to reinstall the screws.
