[Thinkpad] [TP600X] Which network and wireless cards for OS/2 and Linux?

I'm planning on removing Windows XP from one of my ThinkPad 600X machines
and replacing it with dual-boot OS/2 (or more likely eComstation) and Linux.
Quick questions:

Which ethernet PCMCIA card or cards are most likely to be troublefree in
such a configuration?

Which, if any, 802.11b (or even, preferably, 802.11g) wireless card is
likely to work at all in this configuration?

And does anyone have a strong opinion on which Linux distribution is most
likely to install with minimal trouble?
