A colleague is having problems with a 765L; the screen was blinking and
the machine shutting itself down, even with apparently-good battery and
charger connected. I suggested a new CMOS battery, he installed this
and here's what he wrote me: "I put the new CMOS battery into the 765L,
it asked
me for the new time and date. The screen does not blink anymore, but it
still turns off, shortly after the windows logo shows. I don't even know
anymore how to turn off the computer, or how to reboot." (I'm not sure
what he means by the latter, I will see him on Thursday for more info.)
Any suggestions?
