Greetings from Kandahar, Afghanistan. You will need to update the BIOS for
the TP600 to run Win2K. Been there, done that, had to upgrade! It's not a
big deal really, as long as your battery is in decent enough shape in case
of power failure during the flash process. The 600 will run the larger H/D
without problems, I've installed up to 40GB ones without as much of a
hiccup. As far as the firmware for the H/D...I haven't checked but it's
probably for acoustics...making it quieter. Hope this info helps!
