Hiya,
Just do NOT delete them, they are usually hidden for very good reason,
ie: to not be deleted under normal circumstances, for one your swap file
for virtual memory is a hidden file and you would not want to delete it.
If you are short of disk space, it's much more productive to purchase a
new hard disk, as they aren't too expensive than scratching around
trying to free the odd ten megs or so.
A lot of those hidden files will be Windows 98 files too.
