Part 1:
In Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer), click on the following:
Tools
Folder Options
View
Check: Display compressed files and folders with alternate color
Check: Display the full path in the address bar
Check: Show hidden files and folders
UNCheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
UNCheck: Hide protected operating system files
OK

Part 2:
In Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer), click on the following:
View
Details
Right-click on the TITLE of the name column, right on the "N" of "Name".
On the context menu that comes up, make sure that "Attributes" is clicked.

You can now see everything.
