My younger son has an i Series Thinkpad - Type 2621.
The problem is to get it to play DVD movies.
I have installed WinDVD version 4. (I have also tried the current versions
of WinDVD and PowerDVD - no help)
No I have gotten the laptop to play a DVD movie. But the other DVD movie
that I have is not seen by the DVD player although it works OK on my TV DVD
player. I've tried a 3rd and fourth DVD movie - one works and one doesn't.
All of which leaves me totally puzzled.
Does the DVD laser light in the DVD player blow suddenly like a light bulb,
or does it gradually fade in intensity before it dies? If so, could this
explain the difference?
Does anyone have any other thoughts?
