the ports SHOULD look pretty much the same..

how do you know one is damaged..??
if it is physical damage then you might have to live with it until you can
afford to have the repair done..
i DON'T think its on a daughterboard..
but check the HMM to be sure..
i would not get into soldering on a multilevel board..
but you might luck out and find it IS a small daughterboard on the system
board..

if it has JUST FAILED then unless it is a 2378 model with one year warranty,
call support and send it in, like bruce says.. :-)
