I configured my X31 with 15GB for the OS, swap space, etc., and use the D:
partition for data and all programs I install (Office, Smart Suite,
Utilities, etc.). I went with WXP but set the folders, start menu, etc. to
classic mode.
Make sure you apply all the IBM patches, etc. And don't download the IBM
drivers from Microsoft. (Windows update occasionally presents a graphics or
other driver).
