No, I used included AOL links as an example of the kind of junk no
longer included in preloads. I have no objection to AOL as an ISP, only
that there is no reason to include it on a machine preload, as most
people won't use it (and those that do can find AOL installation disks
in their mailbox). Surely as an AOL subscriber it was your oversight -
not IBM's - that it wasn't installed on your machine?

The objection to having such stuff preinstalled is that it can be
difficult to eliminate it all cleanly, which was why the original poster
was contemplating trashing his preload immediately.

In the last 2 months I have used 9 ISPs (most in Europe while
traveling), I did not find it a hardship to not have any of them
preinstalled by IBM.
