I just noticed Matt's replies below, that Deanna had referred to in her
subsequent email. I looked in the About Windows window, and it says
only Windows 98, copyright 1981 to 1998 (1981??). Ilooked in System
Properties, and it says Windows 98 4.10.1998. Does this mean it is not
"second edition?" I'll look for updates on the website.
I don't think the usb port is damaged. It went bad when the screen
freaked out, which I think had to do with cmos battery that our support
guys probably replaced. Sorry, I don't yet have the details of what
they did.
Thanks,
Judy
