I must say I'm pleased as punch with my R40 2897-93U
I upgraded the HD to 60 Gig, the memory to 512mb and the OS to Win2k.
It was a thinkexpress model and was inexpensive at $1280, and does
everything I need it to do.
Built-in wifi, cd burner, great screen, fits into my old A model port
replicator, long battery life,
light enough to be very portable, excellent keyboard, and a very solid feel.
