[Thinkpad] USB and A21m

I have a family member that has an A21m (2628-GXU) running XP SP1 with
256MB of memory and she is having issues printing to a Lexmark P3120 All
In One device. The thing scans just fine, but when she tries to print.
She gets a "cartridge stall" message from the software. I have tried
various things including upping the memory to 512 MB with no success. I
hook up the device to my A21p with Win2K and it works just fine. I
have tried the printer on another XP machine and it works just peachy as
well.

I have done my diligence and have done my share of googling on this
problem and have put some time into scouring the IBM website as well.
Based on the following, it doesn't seem to be hardware based:

So my real questions are:
What are the specs for the USB port on this A21m. Is it 1.0 or 1.1?
Has anybody fought similar issues with A21m/XP/USB and won?
