Hi Deanna
Right, this pretty thing is very useful !
We are using it since a few weeks !!

If one is using this thing one does not need to change any settings
except from possibly static TCPip address to dynamic only !!!

Another benefit is:
Ones wireless unit keeps wireless however there are only wired
RJ-45 plugs available ...
... just connect your ASUS WL-330 to the house's RJ-45 and one
is connected ;-)

BTW:
There are more brands coming up already:

From SMC: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/News_story_727.php

These two are g-types already ;-)
Good luck and have pleasure ;-))
Cheers, svobī

When I was caught recently in a hotel room offering free connection
only by wires, and a
TP without a NIC, I found an small -- about the size of a thumb drive
-- inexpensive
(<$30) Linksys USB network adapter.
http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=497&scid=30

But I wish I had seen this thing first, an ultraportable ASUS wireless
access point that
can be found for <$60. It looks like it would be incredibly useful for
that price. Does
anyone here have one -- or another brand -- that they can comment on?
