IS IT the 72 Watt PS?

Check the specs on the label.
The newer supplies have a little "ring" near the yellow tip, makes them easy
to ID
Do you get any screen flicker when it is plugged in? That would be a sign of
using the lower powered adaptor. It will work, but it is a bit light to
power a P4
